💁‍♀️Recipe: Simple Purple Yam Spread

Ingredients:

1 and 1/2 Cup purple yam ( Peeled & Diced)

1 TBSP maple syrup

1 TSP butter

Steps:
1.Place prepared purple yam in a pot. Add enough cold water to just cover the yam.

2.Bring everything to a boil and cook about 15 to 20 minutes or until you can easily poke through the yam with a fork.

3.When the yam is done, drain the water.

4. Mash the yam with a fork and add maple syrup and butter. Mix well.

5.Transfer the yam mixture to a jar or a container and chill before serving.

( If you want smoother texture, you can put the cooled yam mixture into a food processor, but it may require more liquid. )
